Small turnout for Fitna in Washington02-03-2009 Some 40 people turned up to see Geert Wilders' 15 minute anti-Islam firm Fitna when he showed it to members of Congress last week, the NRC reported. Two senators were among the audience, but senator Jon Kyl who invited Wilders to Washington, did not see the film because he had other business to attend to, the NRC said. 'The senator had to go the White House,' the NRC was told. The Volkskrant attended Friday's showing of Fitna at the conservative national press club, where the 'Churchillian end to speech' was rewarded by a standing ovation, the paper said. © DutchNews.nl |
