60 marines to join EU Chad mission

The Dutch contribution to the Eufor European Union mission in eastern Chad will continue until March 2009, foreign affairs minister Maxime Verhagen said on Tuesday, reports news agency ANP.
The Netherlands is planning to send 60 marines to the region.
The Eufor mission aims to protect hundreds of thousands of refugees and aid workers in the fragile border region.
