Police in Tilburg have found 3,200 litres of chemicals stored in a warehouse which they say is enough to make 15 million ecstasy pills when mixed with other ingredients.

The chemicals, stored in metal vats and described by police as highly inflammable, were kept int the warehouse in a residential district of the city. Two people were in the warehouse when it was raided by police but no-one was arrested, broadcaster NOS said.

The raid is part of a bigger two-day campaign to clamp down on illegal drugs manufacturing in Noord-Brabant province. In total, police carried out several dozen raids and made five arrests.

In 2015, police found 5,000 kilos of illegal fireworks in the same Tilburg storage area.
