Hudson’s Bay signs seven new rental deals, heads for Haarlem, Leiden, The Hague

Canadian department store group Hudson’s Bay Company has signed seven more rental contracts for its planned expansion into the Netherlands.

The new stores will open Hudson’s Bay stores in former V&D premises in Amersfoort, Den Bosch, The Hague, Enschede, Haarlem, Leiden and Zwolle, the company said on Monday.

The company previously announced plans for Hudson’s Bay stores in Amsterdam, Tilburg and Breda. Amsterdam will also gain a branch of Saks OFF 5th in the Kalvertoren shopping centre.

Hudson’s Bay plans to open 20 stores in the Netherlands, with the first stores due to open in summer 2017.
