This autumn set to be second warmest since Dutch records began

autumn leavesThis autumn will end up the second warmest on record with an average temperature of 12.6 Celsius, weather bureau weeronline.nl said on Wednesday.

The average autumn temperature is around 10.6 Celsius, the weather bureau said. The warmest autumn since official records began was in 2006, when the temperature averaged 13.6 Celsius.

The meterological winter begins on December 1.

2014 is also on target to be the warmest year on record, unless December is extremely cold, weeronline.nl said.
