Dutch short animation film on Oscar short list
The Dutch short animation film A Single Life has been included on the shortlist of 10 for an Oscar nomination, news agency ANP says on Thursday.
In total, 85 entries were submitted for the short animation Oscar.
A Single Life, directed by Joris Oprins, is about a girl called Pia who plays a mysterious record and is taken back into her past life. It was produced as part of a special project known as Ultrakort by the Dutch Film Fund and the Pathe cinema group.
The final nomination list will be published in mid-January.
The Dutch nomination for best foreign language film is Lucia de B, the true life story of a Dutch nurse jailed for killing several patients who was eventually found to be innocent.
