Summer temperatures set to return yet again

The temperature in the Netherlands could top 20 Celsius this weekend, various weather sites said on Tuesday.

After a few changeable days, a depression over the Atlantic is set to send warm Spanish winds northwards, bringing unseasonal temperatures to the Netherlands weerplaza.nl said.

On Sunday it could be as high as 24 Celsius in southern parts of the country, compared with a seasonal average of 15 Celsius. However, there will be some cloud about as well as sunshine.

The KNMI weather bureau, which also sees temperatures of upwards of 20 Celsius this weekend,  said a few days ago 2014 is on target to be the warmest year on record.
