IS tweet civil servant resigns from Labour party
A Dutch civil servant who tweeted that the Islamic State is a zionist plot has resigned her membership of the Dutch labour party PvdA.
Yasmina Haifi, on detachment at the National Cyber Security Centre, sent a tweet this summer saying the Islamic State does not exist and is a zionist plot to discredit Muslims.
She later deleted the tweet saying: ‘Realise the political sensitivity in relation to my work’.
She was immediately suspended and later moved to a new department.
