More foreign tourists visited Dutch cities last year

The number of foreign tourists visiting Dutch cities last year rose by 100,000 to 2. 4 million, generating income of €1.2bn, according to new figures from the national tourist office NBTC.

The increase is partly due to a new city-based campaign launched by the NBTC last year, the organisation said.

The campaign targeted weekend visitors in eight other countries, focusing on Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Arnhem, Apeldoorn, Groningen, Maastricht and Nijmegen.
