Night frost possible this week but a sunny Easter weekend ahead

There could be ground frost in places this week, with Tuesday night set to be the coldest, weather bureaux say.

Frost is particularly likely in the southern part of the country, weather bureau weeronline.nl says.

Although night frosts are not uncommon at this time of year, it does mean fruit farmers have to take precautions to stop the blossom freezing from the trees and ruining the crop.

However, after Thursday, the temperatures will begin to rise again and could reach 20 Celsius by Easter Sunday, according to the KNMI.
