All the main party leaders will take part in a live television debate on the evening of Budget Day, Nos television announced on Wednesday.

The debate, the first of its kind, will last for 90 minutes and will begin at 20.30 on September 20.

Budget Day, or Prinsjesdag, coverage during the day will follow the traditional pattern, with the coach procession and the speech from the throne.

It will be king Willem-Alexander’s first budget speech since becoming monarch on April 30.
