There is a population explosion at Rotterdam’s Blijdorp zoo with a wide variety of creatures giving birth in the past few months.

Bullhead sharks, fishing cats and Prince Albert’s deer are the latest arrivals, following rhino and zebra calves and three sea lion pups.

The zoo is also awaiting the birth of a baby elephant which will arrive between now and September. It will be the 16th elephant born at Blijdorp.
