Football boat to join Gay Pride canal parade
This year’s Gay Pride canal parade will include a football boat, the Dutch football association KNVB announced at the weekend.
On board will be association chairman Michael van Praag and national team manager Louis van Gaal. Other participants have not yet been announced.
Taking part in Gay Pride is part of the association’s ‘football for everyone’ campaign which aims to increase the acceptance of homosexuality in Dutch football.
Gay Pride is on August 3.
