Anouk makes it ninth time lucky with Eurovision final place
Anouk on Tuesday evening qualified for Saturday’s final of the Eurovision Song Contest with her self-penned song Birds.
It is the first time in nine years the Netherlands has qualified for the final of the event, which this year takes place in Malmö, Sweden.
The Netherlands was the last of the 10 names to be announced as a semi-final winner at Tuesday’s first semi-final.
Danish singer Emmelie De Forest is hot favourite to win this year. The Netherlands last won in 1975 with Teach-In (Ding-A-Dong).
