Second banned Dutch doctor working in Germany

A second Dutch doctor banned from praticising medicine in the Netherlands has been found working at German hospitals, according to German media.

Dutch doctor Nick Reijen was dismissed by the Scheper hospital in Emmen for his role in the death of up to seven patients who had undergone stomach reduction operations.
Hospital authorities confirmed to local paper Heilbronner Stimme that Reijen had worked for them, although it is unclear if he actually worked in the operating theatre.
Earlier this month, it emerged former neurologist Ernst Jansen Steur was also working in Germany, despite being banned in the Netherlands.
Both men were working via staffing agencies. Both men had also removed themselves from the Dutch medical profession register, so avoiding being formally struck off.
