Heineken boss is investors’ favourite CEO

Heineken’s chief executive Jean-Francois van Boxmeer has been voted favourite chief executive of 2012 by members of the Dutch investors association VEB.

Van Boxmeer, who is Belgian, took 35% of the vote. Last year, he managed to ensure Heineken took over Asian brewery group APB, and that Heineken’s share price rose 40% over the year.
Eric Meurice from ASML and Paul Polman of Unilever were the runners up.
