While there may be some snow on Wednesday evening, weather forecasters say winter will start in earnest on Friday, with up to 10 cm of snow and frost at night.

The KNMI, Meteoconsult and Weerplaza.nl are all forecasting heavy snow on Friday, which, they say, may be coupled with strong winds. And with temperatures dropping to as low as -10 Celsius on Saturday night, winter will have truly arrived, Weerplaza’s forecaster said.
Both Meteoconsult and Weerplaza.nl warn of ‘extreme conditions’ on Friday, especially on the roads during rush hour. It will remain below freezing on Saturday at least, with the sun shining some of the time.
Nevertheless, it will remain very cold with the chance of more snow well into next week.
