Spain arrests 76-year-old Dutch national with 209 kilos of hash

Spanish police have arrested a 76-year-old Dutch national driving a van containing 209 kilos of hashish, news agency ANP reports.

The man was picked up after travelling by ferry from Morocco to the Spanish mainland, ANP said. The man lives in Zeist but was apparently born in Tangiers.

According to Spanish media reports, the man appeared nervous when his passport was being checked, prompting officials to search his vehicle.
