Amsterdam’s internationl residents give city 8+ for quality of life

Amsterdam’s expats and international residents give the city a score of 8+ for the quality of life in the capital, according to a new survey of 510 people for the city’s expat centre.

Six out of 10 also feel Amsterdam is a welcoming city, with just one in 10 thinking this is not the case at all.
Three-quarters of the respondents have visited an exhibition, museum or art gallery over the past 12 months. This underlines the ‘importance of the arts and culture to the city,’ council alderman Carolien Gehrels said.
However the research also shows 60% do not feel they are a part of the local community and 58% do not think they have enough friends in Amsterdam.
