Man gets 18-years for killing ex-girlfriend's 10-year-old sister

Monday 10 September 2012

A man from Rotterdam has been jailed for 18 years for the murder and sexual abuse of his ex-girlfriend’s sister following a row over a visit to the cinema.

Anthony K was found guilty of killing 10-year-old Jennefer last October by a court in Rotterdam. The public prosecution department had called for life imprisonment.

Judges sentenced K to 20 years taking all the crimes into account but reduced the total by two because K has learning difficulties. K continued to deny raping the child throughout the court case.

Jennefer’s body was found in K’s home in Rotterdam’s Charlois district 36 hours after she went missing. Her body was found in bin liners hidden in the cellar.

According to Nos television, Jennefer’s family are furious at the sentence.
