Just three football clubs remain in financial danger zone: KNVB

Just three professional clubs remain under the supervision of the Dutch football association because of their troubled finances, the KNVB said on Monday.

NAC Breda is the only premier side being monitored: the other two are FC Dordrecht and Helmond Sport from the Jupiler league.
In May this year six clubs were in the danger zone and a year ago there were 13. ‘It is good to see such steady improvement,’ said KNVB board secretary Mark Boetekees. ‘Clubs now realise the importance of good, consistent financial policy.’
All three clubs have been under supervision since 2010 and have three years to get their finances in order or have their licence withdrawn.
Nine clubs are now considered to be in a healthy financial position, including top teams Ajax, PSV and FC Twente.
