Nigerians arrested at Schiphol with €1.2m in cash

Police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport have arrested two Nigerian nationals who were carrying a total of €1.2m in cash, news agency ANP reports.


The men were picked up on suspicion of money laundering, because they were unable to offer an explanation of what they were doing with so much cash.
One man has been remanded in custody and the other released, ANP said. The money has been confiscated pending further investigation.
