Woman fatally stabbed at Rotterdam primary school, attacker flees

One woman has been stabbed to death and another injured when they were attacked inside a primary school in Rotterdam on Friday afternoon, Dutch media report.

The women were attacked in a hallway of the Augustinus primary school in the city’s Oude Westen neighbourhood. Their attacker, who was male, ran off.
Police have so far not given any possible motive for the attack. Both women were involved with the school but it is not yet clear in what capacity. Nos television says they may be parents.
According to the Telegraaf, the women became involved in a heated argument with the man outside the school, which then continued once they entered the premises. The man then pulled a knife and stabbed them both, the paper said.
The school’s pupils were attending a performance when the attack happened and did not witness the incident, Nos said.
