Beatrix spends time with students during trip to Turkey

Queen Beatrix the second day of her trip to Turkey speaking to Turkish students and scientists, say press reports.


She was at the Palais Hollande, the Dutch consulate-general in Istanbul, where she discussed the future of Turkey, its role in Europe and the Middle East and what it is like to live in Turkey as a Dutch-Turk.
This evening she will attend a performance by the Nederlands Dans Theater which is part of the celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
On Friday the queen leaves for Italy for the marriage of her niece princess Carolina to Albert Brenninkmeijer on Saturday.
