Dutch trade surplus fell in February

The Dutch trade surplus fell to €2.9bn in February as growth in imports outstripped the increase in exports, the national statistics office CBS said on Friday.

Exports rose 11% to €36bn while imports were up 16% at just over €33bn.
The trade surplus was nearly €4bn in February 2011.
The CBS said the figures had not been corrected for the leap year effect, which means February 2012 had one more working day.
