Wild boar in Utrecht to be shot

A family of wild boar which has moved into woods near the town of Rhenen in Utrecht province, are to be shot because they form a danger to traffic, the provincial council has agreed.

The group is thought to consist of two adults and a number of piglets who continually criss-cross local roads. This means they are a serious nuisance to traffic and need to be removed, the province said.
Some people think the boar may have been released into the wild because they are so tame, the Telegraaf said.
