Bird watch webcams go live on March 1

Bird protection group Vogelbescherming Nederland has chosen 11 pairs of birds for this year’s ‘experience Spring’ webcam project.

For the past six years, the organisation has placed webcams in a number of birds’ nests, so nature lovers can follow the progress of their young.
The cameras go live on March 1 and will be switched off on July 1. This year’s chosen birds include: kingfishers, herons, spoonbills, storks and eagle owls.
