Dutch court reject’s Apple’s call for Galaxy Tab ban

The Hague appeal court on Tuesday rejected computer giant Apple’s claims that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet computer infringes its copyrights.

Apple claims the Tab 10.1 is a copy of its iPad but the court ruled there are enough differences between the two products to ensure Apple’s copyright has not been infringed.
The appeal court upheld a lower court ruling from last year.
Samsung’s marketing manager Geert Mol told website nu.nl: ‘We are very happy… this supports what we have always said, that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is different.
In Germany, the 10.1 was banned for copyright reasons, forcing Samsung to produce a different version, the 10.1N.
