Dusting of snow slows morning rush hour

There were over 300 km of traffic jams in the Netherlands during Monday morning’s rush hour, partly due to slippery conditions caused by the snow.

A light dusting of snow fell over most of the country during the night, with more expected in southern areas during the day.
The snow is being followed by a cold front which will bring heavy frosts at night up to at least the weekend. There may also be further snow falls later in the week.
