A 50-year-old man has been jailed for 12 years for killing his partner, millionaire’s daughter Sandra Hazeleger, according to Nos television on Monday.

The man, known as Bob H, was found guilty of strangling the woman to death with a dog collar and then dumping her body in woods in February this year.
The public prosecution department had called for a 14-year jail term. The court went for a lower sentence because the man showed regret and was ‘in a slight state of diminished responsibility’.
An investigation by experts showed the man was frustrated by the lack of attention and value he was getting from his relationship with his victim, Nos said.
H had nothing to gain financially from the murder and it had been originally thought the woman was kidnapped, the Telegraaf said.
