Police investigate speed camera explosive incident

Police have set up a special team of 25 officers to find out who is responsible for placing explosives on a speed camera in Voorschoten, near The Hague, which put two bomb disposal experts in hospital.

Police were alerted to ‘something strange’ hanging from the camera at a junction in the town at around 3.30 am on Sunday morning. The explosive device, apparently home made, went off around four hours later blowing one of the army experts into the air.
He and another man were taken to hospital. One man has since been released but the other was seriously injured and remains in hospital.
