One in four police officers avoids violence

One in four police officers avoids interfering in risky situations because they are poorly trained, are afraid of violence or don’t have proper back-up, according to new research from the national police academy.


The research was leaked to television programme Nieuwsuur and is based on the experience of 4,400 police officers.
