Dutch court rejects Samsung’s iPad and iPhone import ban claim

A court in The Hague on Friday turned down Samsung’s request for a ban on the sale and import of Apple mobile products that use 3G telecommunications technology, including iPhones and iPads.

The South Korean technology group had asked for the ban as part of its ongoing patent battle with Apple. The court dismissed Samsung’s claims of patent infringement and Apple’s counter claims, news agency Reuters said.
The two firms have been involved in a patents battle involving smart phones and tablets in 10 countries since earlier this year.
