Man gets year in psychiatric hospital for throwing object at queen
The man accused of throwing a heavy glass candle holder at the golden coach carrying queen Beatrix to parliament has been found guilty and sentenced to one year in a psychiatric hospital.
Erwin L threw the object last September during the queen’s procession to parliament to make her traditional speech.
He was not sentenced to a jail term because he is considered to be of unsound mind, say press reports.
