Domestic gas use halves in 30 years
The amount of gas used in the average Dutch household has halved since 1981, according to the energy firm association.
The drop is due to more efficient boilers and better insulation, the organisation says.
Electricity use per household has also gone down due to an increase in energy efficient appliances.
However, total energy use has gone up because there are now more households.
