Casino wrong to allow gambling addict back in, says court
The state-owned Holland Casino group failed in its duty of care by allowing a gambling addict back onto the premises even though he had asked the casino in writing to ban him, a court in Utrecht ruled on Thursday.
The gambler had told the casino to ban him ‘indefinitely plus 500 years’ but was allowed back in a couple of years later.
The casino is now liable to pay the man damages, but the court has not yet determined how much, news agency ANP reported.
