A man from Liberia has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after setting himself on fire at a refugee centre in Limburg, the Telegraaf reports.

The man, who has been in the Netherlands for several years, had recently been visited by the deportation service, which means he was probably about to be sent back, the paper said.
In April, an Iranian man died after setting himself on fire in central Amsterdam.
