Orca Morgan may head for the Canary Isles

Morgan, the orca rescued in the Wadden Sea a year ago, may be moved to the Canary Isles, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

The orca is currently being cared for in the Harderwijk Dolfinarium, where she was taken after being found swimming in a severely weakened state last June.
Experts said in December Morgan could not be returned to the wild because efforts to find her pod – or family – using her dna had failed.
The paper says the Loro Parque on Tenerife may have a suitable ‘adoptive family’ for the animal.
