Office vacancy rates rise again

Office vacancy rates rose still further in the Netherlands over the first six months of this year, according to new figures from the real estate agents group NVM.

The rise, to just over seven million square metres, represents a 4% increase on the previous half year.
Some 14.4% of the country’s office accommodation is now empty, the NVM said.
Amsterdam city council has plans to convert empty offices into flats and student accommodation.
