Heineken takes legal action in suspected beer fraud

Brewing giant Heineken is taking legal action against Weesp-based brewer Olm for fraud, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

The paper claims the company is selling barrels of beer to bars and cafes which are branded as Heineken but actually contain Olm.
Heineken bases its claim on secret video footage, inside sources and even surveillance of Olm vehicles, the Telegraaf says.
Heineken director Wouter Fijnaut told the paper he is ‘shocked’ at the extent of the fraud. The claims will be looked at by an Amsterdam court next week.
