Wilders’ inciting hatred trial winds up

MP Geert Wilders will probably address the judges at his trial for inciting hatred and discrimination on Wednesday in what is expected to be the final day of the hearings.

The case against the MP began last year, but collapsed following claims that the judges were prejudicial. A retrial began earlier this year.
The leader of the anti-Islam PVV party faces several charges of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims, Moroccans and non-Western immigrants.
The public prosecution department has already called for Wilders to be found not guilty. It was forced to take the case to trial by the appeal court which said the charges should be investigated.
It is not clear when the judging panel will rule on the case.
