Sixteen clubs on football association’s financial watch list

Sixteen of the country’s 36 professional football clubs are under extra supervision by the football association because of their precarious finances, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.

Premier division sides Feyenoord, Roda JC, NEC, NAC, Excelsior, Vitesse and Willem II are on the list of endangered clubs.
Just five clubs – including premier division sides Twente and VVV-Venlo – are considered to have healthy finances.
