Juliana’s attic auction tops €4.2m so far

The second day of the Sotheby’s auction of property owned by queen Juliana raised over €2.5m, bringing the total so far to €4.2m.


The most expensive item at Tuesday’s sale was a silver Chinese tea service which raised €204,000, well above the estimated €50,000.
The auction of unwanted household items – some 10,000 objects in total – runs until Thursday. The money raised will go to charity.
