Government lifts travel ban to Egyptian resorts

The government has withdrawn its no travel warning to Egyptian seaside resorts, clearing the way for a resumption of holiday flights.

Travellers are being advised to use caution and avoid demonstrations and large gatherings. The recommendation against all non-essential travel outside the resort areas remains in force.
Several thousand holidaymakers were repatriated from Egypt at the height of the anti-government demonstrations last week.
