Second Dutch youth arrested for cyber attacks

A 19-year-old youth was arrested at the weekend for the cyber attack on the public prosecution department and police websites on Friday.


The youth, from Hoogezand-Sappemeer was later released. He was picked up after police traced his computer IP address through the software he was using to bombard the sites.
The youth, who uses the name Awinee, also encouraged others to take part in the attack, the public prosecution department said.

Supporters of website Wikileaks attacked the public prosecution website following the arrest of a 16-year-old youth last week. He is suspected of involvement in the cyber attacks on credit card websites among others.
The youth, who is known as Jeroenzor, was remanded in custody by judges on Friday for a further 13 days.
