Motorists warned to expect long delays, roads very icy

Commuters face long delays and jams on the roads on Thursday because of slippery conditions and overnight wintry showers, motoring organisation ABWB is warning.

Thursday is traditionally the busiest rush hour of the week and motorists should expect ‘very long delays’, the ANWB said in a statement.
It is the first time this winter the organisation has issued an official ‘rush hour alarm’. Motorists are being advised only to use the roads if necessary and to either switch to public transport or work from home.
