Albert Heijn distribution centre workers threaten action

Unions and employers at the Albert Heijn supermarket group are deadlocked about a pay rise for distribution centre workers, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

Unless a deal is soon reached, workers at the six centres are threatening to take industrial action, the paper says.
They want a 2.5% pay rise, an agreement to build no new distribution centres and permanent contracts for 300 temporary staff.
The company has offered 1.3% and a year’s job guarantee.
