Entrepreneurs’ spending power will go up next year

Entrepreneurs will have more money to spend next year, but households in salaried employment will have less, according to the small business association research institute EIM.

The EIM says people who run one-man operated companies will have 0.75% more to spend next year, while those who own bigger firms will book spending power growth of 0.25%.
This will come from efforts to cut costs, leading to greater profitability, the EIM said.
The average one-man operator has some €28,000 to spend this year, the institute said. This is still well down on pre-crisis levels.
The government’s macro-economic forecasting agency expects average spending power to go down 0.25% next year.
