New cabinet not right wing, says CDA leader

Tuesday 14 September 2010

The Christian Democratic party is a 'middle party' so a cabinet involving the CDA cannot be termed right wing, CDA leader Maxime Verhagen is quoted as saying by the Volkskrant on Tuesday.

Verhagen made the comment before joining VVD leader Mark Rutte and Geert Wilders of the anti-Islam PVV for a new round of talks on forming a cabinet.

When the talks were halted 10 days ago, VVD leader Mark Rutte said the three parties had already agreed policies which would make 'right wing voters lick their lips'.

With that kind of rationalization being accepted, no doubt M Verhagen is well on the way to convincing CDA members that the moon is made of green cheese. No wonder these "leaders" had trouble forming a government while they pole-vaulted over mouse droppings! A thinking minority wasn't willing to eat "cheesy" moon rocks!
