16-year-old shot dead in central Amsterdam

A 16-year-old boy has died in hospital after being shot several times in central Amsterdam.
The shooting happened at around 18.45 hours in the Nieuwe Houttuinen housing development, just minutes from central station. The gunman ran off.
Police said the boy comes from Amsterdam and was known to the police.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the shooting, Nos tv said on Friday.
